The analyst of EXMO exchange disappeared in Kiev on December 26 and was found three days later.
Three days after a kidnapping in Kiev, Pavel Lerner, director and analyst at crypto exchange EXMO was found unharmed in Ukraine. The authorities give no further details, and the case is under investigation.
Recently, the EXMO site also experienced a DDoS attack, possibly unrelated to the kidnapping, and a usual problem for exchanges:

The exchange has not come up yet with official statements with the reasons of the kidnapping.
The kidnapping of Lerner is a rare occurrence in the world of cryptocurrencies, which despite talks of being attractive to criminals, has seen little open conflict or aggression. Still, it is unknown what the exact relation is between the kidnapping and Lerner’s involvement with mining and exchanges.
